New Website Updates and Features

Hello all, I just wanted to let you know that I finally made the long overdue update to my blog page. Now you can easily subscribe to my blog with the subscribe form and button. You can also share with your friends. All they need to do is enter their email and click subscribe. I do not have any paid content. All of it is free. It’s also add free. All subscribers should receive an email every time I make a new post.

The second feature on my blog homepage, at the bottom, is a form where you can send me direct messages to my email. These will not be posted on the site as public, so you can feel free to write me with any feedback or comments you have, ask me questions, or share prayer requests with me. Everything sent to me using the link on my blog homepage will be confidential and private.

Like anyone, I love encouragement. Sometimes it’s nice to know I’m reaching someone too. I’d love to know if anything I’ve shared has blessed you. I also welcome criticism. Proverbs says the mark of a wise person is the ability to receive and process criticism: “reprove a man of understanding, and he will gain knowledge” (Prov. 19:25). Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” I don’t want hate speech or threats or harassment, but I do appreciate constructive criticism that is based on the Bible and common sense.

I also linked my Facebook page and YouTube channel at the very bottom. My Facebook account is associated with my first book, Learning to Love: a Collection of Poetry and 40 Daily Devotions. I have not been very active with these social media lately but utilizing them more frequently is in my line of sight on the horizon.

I should be making my final post on Genesis very soon, so keep a lookout. It’s a good ending! Until next time, God bless.

Sara DuVall is a wife and homeschool mom. She lives in the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama with her husband and four children. Originally from the Florida Gulf Coast, she was raised in the church and worked for the church for some time. Sara has a MA in English literature and certificate in technical communication, having work experience in the field of technical communication and technical editing. Her BA is in cultural anthropology and English writing. Sara has been writing poetry since she was about 13 years old. Inspired by a poem written by her great-grandmother, Sara has studied and enjoyed the art of poetry ever since. She is a published short story author in Northwest Florida State College’s Blackwater Review (2006 and 2007). She is also an award-winning short story author at the University of West Florida (2009). She published her first book, Learning to Love: a Collection of Poetry and 40 Daily Devotions, in 2021. The daughter of a choir director and college music teacher with an MA in voice, Sara was regularly exposed to music from an early age. Although she is a far cry from the vocal qualifications of her mother, and although she is not nearly as proficient a pianist as she should be from her tutelage, Sara has maintained her musical background by expressing herself through acoustic and classical guitar and the Native American style flute, composing many of her own songs. Besides writing and music, one of Sara’s favorite work experiences was as assistant curator of the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida where she got to accession people’s old stuff and guide tours about it. They just don’t make things like they used to.
